General Motors is preparing an electric car under the Buick brand for the Chinese

The American concern General Motors is preparing a new model for the Chinese market - the all-electric station wagon Buick Velite 6 EV.

Here we must make a digression. The Americans introduced the serial Velite 6 in April 2018, but it was a plug-in hybrid (PHEV). Its power plant consisted of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, two electric motors, a CVT and lithium-ion batteries. The production of the hybrid on the assembly line was delayed for an unknown reason, it has now become clear that GM decided to first release a purely electric version of the new Buick.

Design-wise, the Velite 6 EV is no different from its hybrid counterpart. The exterior is very original and cool. It is characterized by a dynamic profile, complex plastic transitions on the sidewalls, intricately shaped lighting technology and detailed style details. Inside, there is a complex architecture of the front panel, a digital instrument cluster and a large display of the multimedia system. Velite 6 is designed for five people, its trunk volume is 455 liters in normal condition and 1098 liters with the rear seat backs folded down.

The characteristics of the motor have not yet been disclosed, but it is known that one energy reserve of lithium-ion batteries is enough for a station wagon for 301 km.
