Buick unveils next-generation Enclave crossover and Avenir premium sub-brand

Buick brand showed at the New York Auto Show a new generation of the Enclave crossover. Together with him, the official presentation of the premium Buick sub-brand called Avenir took place in the USA.

The car is built on a platform known from other GM SUVs, in particular the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Cadillac XT5. With the change of generations, the crossover has become larger - the body length and wheelbase are 5189 and 3071 mm, respectively (an increase of 50-60 mm). At the same time, the car turned out to be about 166 kg lighter than its predecessor - it weighs 1977 kg.

The only available engine is a naturally aspirated 3.6-liter V6 developing 302 hp. power and 353 Nm of torque. The motor is paired with a 9-speed "automatic". By default, the car has a front-wheel drive, but you can order an all-wheel drive system with a GKN clutch.

The cabin is designed to carry seven passengers. Trunk volume - 668 liters.

Using the Enclave as an example, Buick launched the Avenir line in the US market - this is how the most luxurious trim levels will now be called. By default, the Enclave Avenir received a very rich equipment - the manufacturer claims that most of the Enclave of the previous generation was still bought in the most expensive versions.

It includes a rear-view camera that displays an image on the mirror, three-zone climate control, adaptive headlights and suspension, engine start with a button, 7 airbags, keyless entry, a fifth door electric drive, a parking assistant, an accident prevention system, an air ionizer, an access point Wi-Fi, active noise cancellation and other equipment.
