Volkswagen has introduced a new model, the mid-size liftback Lamando L. This car was created by the joint venture SAIC-Volkswagen located in China and is intended only for the local market. The first generation Lamando (sedan) was produced in 2014-2022.
The novelty is based on the modular Volkswagen MQB Evo platform with front-wheel drive and a fully independent suspension (McPherson strut front, multi-link rear).
The overall length, width and height of the car are 4784, 1831 and 1469 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2731 mm.
The exterior of the VW Lamando L is characterized by a dynamic profile and a bold design of the front - with a wide "mouth" of the air intake in the bumper and drop-shaped headlights.
The car used frameless doors (in the manner of a coupe).
The model is equipped only with a 1.4-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 150 hp. The gearbox is a 7-speed dual-clutch DSG preselective “robot”.
The price of new items in China in the basic configuration will be about $25,000.
