Information about Toyota's plans to launch new models has become freely available - it was published by the Japanese edition of Best Car, citing its sources in the concern's distribution network.
In December 2022, the next (fifth) generation Prius hybrid is due for the world premiere. At the same time, two modifications will be shown - standard and with the possibility of recharging the battery from the network. The internal combustion engine will retain its 1.8L capacity but will use an improved efficiency nickel-metal hydride traction battery, and an all-new exterior body is expected in the latest iteration of the corporate identity.
On August 2, Toyota is due to show special equipment for the Land Cruiser Prado J150 frame SUV - they will support interest in the car ahead of the release of the next generation SUV, which is scheduled to premiere in the summer of 2023.
Earlier it was reported that in the new incarnation Prado will retain the dimensions of the car of the current generation, but will receive an increased wheelbase - 2840 mm (+50 mm). Thus, there will be more space in the cabin for rear passengers (and less for luggage).
In April 2023, the fourth-generation Toyota Alphard van will be released. The slightly different styling of the Vellfire will be retired. The new Alphard is built on the modular TNGA platform. The overall length of the van will remain at the level of five meters, and the power units will be unified with the new Crown crossover, that is, hybrid systems are expected, which include gasoline engines of 2.5 and 2.4 liters.
