It became known when the new Toyota Noah will be released

Toyota

The next-generation Toyota Noah mid-size van in Japan will begin accepting orders on December 8, the model is scheduled for release on January 13, 2022, according to the Japanese publication BestCarWeb, citing its sources in the Toyota Motor sales network.

Recall that now Toyota Motor produces three related models: Noah, Voxy and Esquire. But in the next generation, only Noah is planned to remain. Earlier, Toyota announced a complete halt to the production of the Esquire luxury minivan in early December 2021. As for Voxy, they are going to release Noah Custom instead. This version will receive a “front end” design different from the base version.

According to preliminary information, the next generation Toyota Noah is being created on the TNGA platform, which is already used on most of the company's new products. In terms of powertrains, significant differences from the current generation are not expected: the Japanese will be able to choose between a 2.0-liter M20A-FKS gasoline engine and a hybrid version based on a 1.8-liter 2ZR-FXE engine. On the second, most likely, a more advanced battery will appear.

The list of basic equipment will include the Toyota Safety Sense preventive safety system.

Recall that the current third-generation Toyota Noah (R80) has been produced in Japan since 2014. In 2017, the van underwent restyling. Under the hood of the current Noah, at the choice of consumers, a 2.0-liter gasoline engine (power - 152 hp) and a Super CVT-i variator or a hybrid system based on a 1.8-liter unit (99 hp) and an electric motor are installed (82 hp). Drive - front or full. The car is produced with a seven- and eight-seat interior layout.
