Mitsubishi Motors began selling an improved version of the RVR compact crossover in the domestic market of Japan on February 24.
Modernization touched first of all safety. So, the basic equipment was supplemented by inflatable air curtains, monitoring of "blind" zones, traffic control along the lane, automatic switching of high beam headlights (previously these positions were installed only in intermediate and expensive versions).
The work of automatic emergency braking has been made more efficient, as well as the functions of preventing the mixing of brake and gas pedals.
The standard equipment of the crossover now includes the function of recognizing a car moving in the transverse direction when reversing (if it is detected, the car automatically brakes).
At the same time, the style of the basic version became more refined - wheel arch extensions appeared, and side mirror housings were unified with more expensive options (they have turn signal repeaters).
The "winter package" was also included in the RVR standard, it includes heated mirrors and heater air ducts for rear passengers.
Mitsubishi RVR in Japan is offered with a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with 139 hp. It is combined with a CVT, front or all-wheel drive. The price of the updated Mitsubishi RVR in the initial configuration is 2,306,700 yen.
