At the Bangkok Motor Show (Thailand), Mitsubishi Motors for the first time showed the mid-size frame pickup Mitsubishi L200 / Mitsubishi Triton of the new generation.
The presentation cannot be called full-fledged, the car will not go on sale until the end of spring, and the exhibition actually exhibited an industrial model under the banner of the Mitsubishi Concept XRT concept car. In addition, the automaker has not yet disclosed technical specifications, limiting itself to the announcement of a new diesel engine.
It is known that the Mitsubishi L200 of the next, sixth generation will share the chassis with the next generation Nissan Navara. It's hard to say how technically the Mitsubishi L200 will be a product of the company's engineering, but the body style is expected to be Mitsubishi flesh with its signature X-like façade design.
Shown at the show, the L200 bears the badge of Ralliart, the company's motorsport division, and sports off-road lugs, steel tube sills, a fairing over the cargo bed and a pair of spare wheels, and this is no coincidence - the next stop of the promotional campaign for the new L200 will be participation in a rally raid for the Asian region Asia Cross Country 2023.
