Mitsubishi Motors (MMC) will take part in Tokyo Auto Salon 2023, which will open its doors on January 13th. The company told what cars will be shown at the exhibition.

The highlight of the exhibition will be the Delica Mini, which will go on sale in May.

Delica Mini is based on the 2020 eK Space model, but differs from it in the design of the front and rear parts of the body. At the front, the aggressive headlights with semi-circular graphics of the LED daytime running lights attract attention. In the front bumper, you can see a silver imitation underbody protection and gray painted L-shaped segments in the corners. When viewed in profile, the car is distanced from its “donor” by wheel arch linings and imitation moldings at the bottom of the doors. The dark gray double-spoke light-alloy wheels also look interesting.

At the same time, redesigned versions of the Delica Mini will be shown under the names Delica Mini x Coleman and Delica Mini Snow Survivor. Coleman is addressed to outdoor enthusiasts, it differs from the standard car in a beige body color, an expeditionary roof rack, and massive wheel mudguards. Snow Survivor, in addition to the expeditionary trunk, has a crankcase protection, an imitation of a kengurin, a snow camouflage body color and a bedding set in the cabin.

At the same time, MMC will bring an “adult” Delica D: 5 Snow Survivor to the Tokyo Motor Show - it has increased ground clearance, snow camouflage, crankcase protection, an expeditionary trunk, off-road tires and some improvements in the cabin.

To maintain consumer interest in the Outlander and Eclipse crossovers, the company's booth will display their tuning options with the Black Edition Premium prefix in the title. In both crossovers in this version, the body is painted in steel gray, while the decor elements and rims are made in black. Expeditionary trunks are also mounted.

The Miev Minicab Electric Van will be shown in the B-Leisure Style II variant. This machine has an exclusive beige color and a special interior - it can be configured for a mobile office or outdoor activities. A desk and a chair without legs are provided for work, a fishing kit and a scooter are provided for relaxation. Using the Miev Power Box device, you can power the machines of external consumers from the traction battery.

The eK Cross kei electric car received an EV Smooth x Tough version: in it, the main part of the body is painted in matte gray enamel, and the roof is black lacquered. Radiator grille protection and all-terrain tires are used. In addition, an expeditionary trunk and a folding ladder were mounted.

A rally car based on the L200/Triton pickup will stand apart at the MMC booth. It is made for the T1 class of the Asia Cross-Country Rally (AXCR) professional championship. This car has been seriously modified relative to the serial pickup truck - the hood and doors are made of composites to reduce weight, some interior trim parts have been removed, and a roll cage has been introduced. The suspension has been reinforced, front and rear cross-axle limited-slip differentials, as well as forged wheels, have been used. In addition, this car has sealed units (to overcome water obstacles) and has a snorkel. The 2.4-liter diesel engine received a new firmware for the electronic unit - it improved traction in the medium speed zone.
