The global auto production of Mitsubishi Motors (MMC) at the end of 2022 amounted to 1,012,408 vehicles. Brand cars are made in Japan, Thailand, China and Indonesia. The dynamics relative to 2021 is minus 3.5%, however, MMC considers the results of last year to be successful, because the fall could have been deeper - both global shocks (political and economic) and the ongoing shortage of semiconductors had a negative impact.
At the same time, the production of MMC in Japan increased to 440,762 units (+0.3%), but at the concern's foreign plants it fell to 571,646 units (minus 6.2%).
Exports of MMC vehicles from Japan amounted to 222,242 units, from plants in other countries - 133,729 units.
The success of the mid-size Outlander crossover is noted - 40,942 such cars were sold in the United States during 2022, this is the maximum figure in the history of the model.
