MINI has unveiled images of the new Clubman concept, which will debut next week at the Geneva Motor Show. The car has become more "classic" in terms of door design.
The first Clubman can be called a 5-door hatchback, but very non-standard: on the driver's side it has one door, on the passenger side and two rear doors. In the second generation, the number of doors at Clubman will increase to six, but only two tailgates will remain unusual for a hatchback, while on the sides there is an ordinary practical design.
Perhaps the main feature of the Clubman concept can be considered its size. The model is 41 cm longer than the new MINI Hatch, 27 cm longer than the first generation MINI Clubman and even outperforms the MINI Contryman crossover by about 13 cm. So the production version of Clubman promises to be the most spacious car in the MINI brand line.
The interior of the car is designed for five people, who will be able to appreciate the interior trim of various types of leather - blue nubuck, black nappa and a special patented leather material in red. The front panel received round displays, classic for the brand, the information on which can change in accordance with the traffic situation and driver preferences.
Note that the Geneva Motor Show 2014 will open to the press on March 4.
