Mini has announced a new generation of forced modification of the Cooper hatchback with the now traditional name John Cooper Works.
The main emphasis in the official press release is on the appearance of the new John Cooper Works. The aero body kit is made in an aggressive style, the sharper and livelier character of the car is emphasized by special decorative elements, large 18-inch wheels and LED optics, as well as a special gray color with red stripes on the body.
So far, one can only guess about the capabilities of the car: even the characteristics of the motor are not reported. However, according to information from unofficial sources, under the hood of the new John Cooper Works there will be the same (only upgraded, of course) 1.6-liter turbo engine, which is on the current generation of the model (for comparison, the engine power of the current John Cooper Works is 218 hp, and with it the car develops 226 km / h, accelerating to the first "hundred" in 6.9 seconds). It is expected that the new product will be at least as slow as its predecessor.
The official premiere of the forced Mini Cooper will take place in January 2014 at the Detroit Motor Show.
