Mini has unveiled a restyled version of the John Cooper Works sports compact hatchback. The novelty received a retouched appearance and acquired an improved interior.

On the exterior, the restyled John Cooper Works differs from its predecessor in graphics of LED headlights, new bumpers with larger air intakes, an optimized diffuser in the rear bumper, and a radiator grille with a horizontal red insert. Standard wheels are R17, dealers will offer R18 as an option. The body color palette consists of shades of Chili Red (red), Rebel Green (green) and new options - Island Blue metallic (blue metallic) and Rooftop Gray metallic (gray).

In the interior of the updated Mini John Cooper Works, the design of the climate control deflectors, the keys for switching electronic stabilization and engine start systems has changed, and the shape of the control buttons for the updated media system has been revised on the steering wheel. The analog dashboard has given way to a digital one.

Under the hood, there are no changes: a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine with 231 hp, paired with an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic or a 6-speed manual gearbox. Acceleration to 100 km / h, depending on the type of transmission, is 6.3 and 6.1 seconds, respectively.

In the basic version, the model is equipped with reinforced brakes with four-piston mechanisms at the front, a sports suspension, and an exhaust system made of stainless steel. Optionally available are adaptive electrically controlled shock absorbers that can change stiffness at a frequency of 50 to 100 milliseconds.
