On January 20, BMW held a demonstration of the new MINI Countryman crossover.
The Countryman is the fourth car in Bernd's MINI family of compact cars. And the most spacious in the cabin. The rear seats can be arranged for three adults.
The manufacturer offers a really wide range of motors for this car. 3 petrol engines, 2 diesel.
In the top version, the Countryman is equipped with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine, a twin-scroll turbine allows you to blow out 184 hp, and the maximum torque is 24.5 kg-m. Fuel consumption measurements show that the engine will consume about 6 liters per hundred. All other gasoline units live without turbines, but they look decent: 122 hp / 16.3 kg-m and 98 hp / 15.6 kg-m.
Note that MINI Countryman diesel engines are all turbocharged. They are favorably distinguished not by power (in the first case - 112 hp, in the second - 90 hp), but by the moment (27.5 kg-m and 21.9 kg-m) and low fuel consumption - 4, 2 liters per hundred. At the request of the customer, the engine is aggregated either with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. It is possible to purchase MINI Countryman with all-wheel drive.
