Mercedes-Benz

The Mercedes-Benz EQE range of electric full-size sedan has been replenished with two sports versions from AMG at once - these are the EQE 43 4Matic and EQE 53 4Matic +.

Until now, EQE has only existed in a rear-wheel drive, rear-engined version with an index of 350. AMG added a front electric motor - and thus provided the car with all-wheel drive.

The combined power of the EQE 43 4Matic is 349 kW (475 hp) and the torque is 875 Nm. Specifications EQE 53 4Matic + - 459 kW (625 hp) and 950 Nm. For the 53rd, you can order the optional AMG Dynamic Plus package, which raises power to 504 kW (686 hp) and 950 Nm. Recall that the standard EQE 350 engine develops 215 kW (292 hp).

Torque is transmitted to the wheels through a single-speed gearbox on each of the two motors, traction is automatically distributed over a wide range depending on current road conditions. The transmission oil is preheated to make the machines comfortable to operate in cold climates.

The EQE AMG is equipped with a drive preset system that includes Slippery (slippery), Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus modes.

From 0 to 100 km/h, the EQE 43 accelerates in 4.2 seconds, the EQE 53 in 3.5 seconds and the EQE 53 with the AMG Dynamic Plus package in 3.3 seconds. The maximum speed of the first modification is 210 km/h, the second is 219 km/h, and the third is 238 km/h.

In all cases, the EQE AMG is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 90.6 kWh, which can be charged at a DC station with a power of up to 170 kW. The power reserve with a full battery charge is up to 500 km.

Like the standard EQE 350, the AMG versions are equipped with air suspension, but sports cars have a 5 mm lower ground clearance, moreover, the EQE 43 and EQE 53 can “squat” another 15 mm to improve streamlining at high speeds.

The brakes of the EQE AMG are of increased efficiency: 415 mm discs with six-piston calipers are installed at the front, 378 mm with single-piston calipers at the rear. For a surcharge, you can order 440 mm carbon-ceramic front brake discs.

Outside, the EQE 43 and EQE 53 are distinguished from the standard electric car by the original front bumper with larger air intakes, side skirts and rear bumper, trunk lid spoiler, low-profile wheels with a diameter of 20 or 21 inches, AMG nameplates, vertical slats imitating the grille of the panel and some others. details. Inside, a sports steering wheel with a truncated bottom rim, unique graphics of a digital instrument panel, pedals and sills, and Alcantara seat upholstery as standard.

Sales of EQE 43 and EQE 53 will start within a few months.
