On the basis of the Mercedes-AMG GT created a sports coupe with the front of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class

In the USA, a one-off sports coupe with the name Will.I.AMG was presented. This car is notable for its paradoxical exterior - the dynamic Gran Turismo was endowed with an angular front end a la the Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV.

The unique sports car was not built from scratch, it is based on the serial four-door coupe Mercedes-AMG GT. The power structure of the body was retained from the source, but at the same time the middle pillars of the body were removed to convert it into a two-door coupe. New exterior panels were molded from composites. Instead of four doors, two are used, moreover, mounted on reverse hinges - they open against the move, like the Rolls-Royce Wraith. The headlights were taken from the G-Class.

The unusual name of the car is explained by the fact that it was created with the participation of black rapper William Adams, who works under the stage name Will.i.am. This person is also known as one of the founders and leaders of the Black Eyed Peas, a popular music group in the 2000s.

The car was built by West Coast Customs, Mercedes-AMG provided PR support, since Will.i.am is the advertising face of electrified Mercedes-AMG models.

Instead of the Mercedes-Benz emblems on the grille and wheel hubs of the Will.I.AMG, there is a stylized image of the muzzle of a drawn bear.

The tuners did not touch the technical side of the car, that is, the coupe is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo petrol V8 standard for the Mercedes-AMG GT.

Will.i.AMG will be involved in the filming of a six-part documentary called Drive. The car will make its public “live” debut this weekend at the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Miami. With the help of a PR effect from this car, they plan to sell a limited collection of clothes Bear Witness Drop 1 - Limited Edition, the proceeds from its sale will go to support poor youth through the personal foundation of William Adams.
