Mercedes-Benz announced the recall of very old cars - C-Class, E-Class, CLK-Class and CLS-Class, produced between 2001 and 2011. The service campaign covers 123,696 vehicles in the bodies of generations W203, W211, C209 / A209, C219, equipped with the option "panoramic glass roof with sliding sunroof".
The reason for the recall is that on cars that fall under the described criteria, the fastenings of the glass roof panels are loosened during operation, as a result, they can come off the body on the go. This poses a safety hazard to other road users. As part of the recall, the roof panels will be checked and, if necessary, replaced on cars (free of charge).
