Mercedes-Benz

German law enforcement agencies raided the head office of Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart as part of a corruption case. As Spiegel magazine reported on March 21, it is about suspicions of "commercial bribery and corruption in business relations", the damage is estimated at millions of euros.

The Stuttgart prosecutor's office clarified that "they are investigating two people on suspicion of corruption and bribery in doing business," TASS writes.

According to reports in the German press, employees are suspected of receiving kickbacks for transferring orders to certain suppliers.

On March 16, a search was also carried out in the purchasing and development department at the Sindelfingen plant. Investigators seized, in particular, a mobile phone and computers.

Mercedes-Benz assured that they are supporting law enforcement agencies in the investigation. However, according to Bild newspaper, investigators also searched the home of at least one suspect.
