The Mercedes-Benz GLA and GLB family of platform crossovers have been upgraded. Refreshed the exterior, interior and improved technology.
Both crossovers have new front bumpers, headlights, taillights and grilles. The front bumper of the GLA has become more complex in shape and detail, while the GLB has a protective lower part made of unpainted plastic in the bumper. The configuration of the block headlights and lanterns is the same, but their graphics have changed. The designers also developed a new style of light alloy wheels with a bore diameter of 18 or 20 inches.
Already in the standard, the updated GLA and GLB have a clustered instrument panel and a media system screen, the size of the screens is 10.25 inches each.
The AMG Line Sports Styling package is now available with a heated steering wheel (previously the sports steering wheel was not heated).
Equipped with a 2.0-liter engine, gasoline modifications are “electrified” - equipped with a 48-volt starter-generator, which can add 10 kW of power (13.6 hp) for a short time, save fuel and reduce harmful emissions.
The GLA 250e plug-in hybrid has increased power and torque. The internal combustion engine produces 163 hp. and 270 Nm (it was 160 hp and 250 Nm), electric motor - 109 hp and 300 Nm (it was 102 hp and 300 Nm). The power reserve on pure electric traction remained the same - 70 km.
Gearbox - 7- or 8-speed preselective (depending on modification), drive - front or full.
The sporty AMG GLA 35 and AMG GLB 35 have been retained - they are equipped with a 306-horsepower 2.0-liter engine and a 48-volt starter-generator that adds 10 kW (13.6 hp).
Sales of updated crossovers will start in the summer of 2023.
Recall that the GLA and GLB of the current generations have been released since 2019. The GLA has an overall length of 4.4 m and a five-seat saloon, the GLB from nose to tail - 4.6 meters and - as an option - a seven-seat three-row saloon.
