Brabus unveils a 900-horsepower Mercedes-AMG GT63 S with a sky-high price tag

Mercedes-Benz

Tuning studio Brabus presented a limited edition of the four-door coupe Mercedes-AMG GT63 S under its own name - Rocket 900. Regarding the serial Mercedes-AMG GT, the special version received a comprehensive revision, as a result of which it acquired not only a modified power plant, but also a radically redesigned body.

Under the hood of the Rocket 900, a modernized M178 series V8 biturbo engine is installed, the mechanics of the studio increased its volume from 4.0 to 4.5 liters by boring the block from 83 to 84 mm, and power - from 639 to 900 hp. It works with a 9-speed "automatic", the drive is full with the ability to turn off the front axle. As a result, acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes the car 2.8 seconds (3.2 for the factory version), from 0 to 200 km / h - 9.7 seconds. The top speed is limited to 330 km/h to guarantee stable operation of the Pirelli P Zero tires. The latter, by the way, are put on branded forged wheels 295/30 R21 in front and 335/25 R22 in the rear.

From an exterior point of view, the Rocket 900 differs from the factory Mercedes-AMG GT63 S in an aerodynamic body kit with carbon fiber elements (Brabus does not specify exactly which parts are in question, but, judging by the photos, this is a front splitter, diffuser, sill plates, as well as a rear wing), extended wheel arches, and the rear “fillies” smoothly flow into the doors. The four-barrel exhaust system of the Brabus Mercedes-AMG GT63 S is made of stainless steel. By the way, thanks to the body kit, the width of the car has increased by 78 mm - up to 2031 mm, but the tuners say that its kit is blown in a wind tunnel and works as it should.

Brabus specialists modified the standard suspension of the Mercedes-AMG GT63 S by installing branded air springs, due to which the ground clearance was reduced by 25 mm.

The interior of the car is lined with leather and Alcantara with gray stitching, in the photos you can see sports seats, branded floor mats, as well as red accents on the front console, center console and door cards.

In total, Brabus is going to release 10 copies of the Rocket 900, the cost of each is 435,800 euros.
