Mercedes-Benz held the world premiere of the mid-size electric crossover EQE SUV. This car will occupy a niche between the already produced EQC SUV (4.76 m) and EQS SUV (5.12 m).
The dimensions of the novelty are as follows: length is 4863 mm, width - 1940 mm, height - 1686 mm, wheelbase - 3030 mm.
The exterior is made in the same style as the rest of the electric vehicles of the EQ sub-brand - fr om the outside, everything is subordinated to the goal of maximum streamlining, which means increasing energy efficiency. The drag coefficient is 0.25, comparable to sports cars.
The novelty is built on the Mercedes-Benz EVA modular platform, which is already used for the EQE sedan, EQS liftback, and EQS SUV crossover.
EQE SUV will be offered in three standard versions - 350+, 350 4Matic and 500 4Matic.
The basic version is equipped with one electric motor - on the rear axle, respectively, the drive is rear. Power - 215 kW (292 hp), torque - 565 Nm.
The 350 4Matic version has an additional electric motor on the front axle and all-wheel drive, the total power is the same 215 kW (292 hp), but the torque is much higher - 765 Nm.
The next step is the 500 4Matic with two motors with a total power of 300 kW (408 hp) and a torque of 858 Nm. It also has a 4x4 drive.
The line of sports AMG EQE SUVs will be represented by twin-engine all-wheel drive versions 43 4Matic and 53 4Matic, the first with 350 kW (476 hp) and 858 Nm, the second with 460 kW (626 hp) and 950 Nm. For the 53 4Matic, you can order the optional AMG Dynamic Plus package, which adds a total of 45 kW (61 hp) and 50 Nm to the engines.
In all cases, the capacity of the traction battery is 90.6 kWh, the power reserve on one full charge, depending on the modification, varies from 375 to 590 km. The 43 4Matic has a top speed lim it of 210 km/h, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.3 seconds. The 53 4Matic has 220 km / h, acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 3.5 seconds.
In the cabin, there is a “hyperscreen” built into the front panel that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a display for the front passenger, as well as a 17.7-inch center screen.
Airmatic air suspension is offered, it allows you to increase ground clearance by 30 mm. In addition, a steering rear axle is available (its wheels turn up to 10 degrees) - with it, the turning circle decreases from 12.3 to 10.5 meters.
In Western countries, the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV will go on sale in the spring of 2023. Prices have not yet been announced.
