Ex-Formula 1 pilot Adrian Sutil could become a member of a major accident on the evening of July 26 in the Principality of Monaco, as a result of which the rarest McLaren Senna LM supercar was smashed.
The English-language edition of The Drive describes the accident as follows: the driver lost control, the supercar flew off the road and drove into a pole. The broken McLaren was subsequently taken away by a tow truck, there is no information about the state of Adrian's health yet. The 37-year-old racer did not comment on the incident, and it is not even clear if he was driving his car. Edition Autoevolution notes that another car was damaged in the accident, its brand is not called.
The McLaren Senna LM was unveiled just a month ago, in June 2020, in honor of the F1 GTR track winner that won the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans endurance race in 1995. Under the hood of the car is a biturbo 4.0-liter “eight” with a capacity of 789 hp. A total of 20 such cars were collected.
Adrian Sutil raced in Formula 1 from 2007-2014 for the Etihad Aldar Spyker F1, Force India F1, Williams F1 and then the Sauber F1 Team. The German's best result is 4th at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza in 2009.
