Older people tend to drive calmly and measuredly, and you can very rarely see how they drive with a breeze. The same cannot be said about wealthy 78-year-old Norwegian Henry Harrfeldt, who in 2019 bought a McLaren 720S Spider supercar as his everyday car.

The roadster cost him 4,317,000 crowns, and, according to the Norwegian, he is bribed by the dynamics and refined habits of the car, although he also complained about the slightly harsh suspension. “She's crazy,” Henry Harrfeldt describes the car.

Under the hood of the car is a 4.0-liter twin-turbo "eight" with a capacity of 710 hp, it works with a 7-speed two-disc "robot". Acceleration to 100 km / h is given to the car in 2.9 seconds, up to 200 km / h in 7.9 seconds. The maximum speed is 341 km/h.

Henry has already covered 4,000 kilometers in his McLaren, but this is not the only car in his garage. He also owns a 40-year-old Shelby Cobra roadster and a 38-year-old Ford GT40 replica, but these cars spend more time in the garage - Henry drives them on the weekends. In his opinion, these machines are much more difficult to drive, since they are designed for track driving, in connection with which he decided to buy a modern McLaren.

The premiere of the McLaren 720S Spider took place in December 2018. Thanks to the use of a monocoque, the structure of the roadster did not have to be further strengthened to provide it with additional rigidity. As a result, the roadster weighs only 45 kilograms more than the coupe.
