Mazda Motor has revealed that it has developed a new branded enamel for its large class vehicles. The paint is called Artisan Red Premium Metallic and is based on Mazda's own Takuminuri technology.
The new shade is described as a special red with a deep effect and a particularly bright glow in the light. Enamel involves three layers - transparent, transmitting and reflective / absorbing. Reflective uses aluminum particles that are smoother than those used in conventional metallic paints.
Mazda says the Artisan Red Premium Metallic is the visionary successor to the Soul Red Premium Metallic that has been offered on the brand's models since 2012.
