Limousine Mercedes-Maybach S-Class generation Z223 received the most powerful version of the S680 with a 12-cylinder V-shaped engine of 6.0 liters. The flagship version was announced during the first presentation of the new Maybach in November 2020, but it was shown for the first time just now.
In fact, the appearance of the coolest S-Class went almost unnoticed: Daimler AG simply published photos of the limousine on its press site. But they could have presented the older model with pomp: in the end, now this is the only model of the manufacturer with a V12 under the hood.
The monstrous motor produces 630 hp. and 1000 Nm. The average consumption is 13.3-14.1 l / 100 km in the combined cycle. The internal combustion engine is equipped with an EQ Boost hybrid superstructure with a 48-volt battery.
Another important detail: the Mercedes-Maybach S680 was the first V12 Escoy to be equipped with 4Matic all-wheel drive.
Other versions of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class were revealed earlier. The main one is the S580 with a 503-horsepower V8 4.0. And specifically for the Chinese market, a “stripped down” S480 4Matic model was also developed with an in-line 3.0-liter “six” M 256 with a capacity of 367 hp.
European Mercedes-Benz dealers will begin accepting orders as early as May. The first deliveries are scheduled for July.
