The new Range Rover has a top version of SV with ceramics inside and out

Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled a top-of-the-line executive Range Rover SUV, abbreviated SV and developed by Special Vehicle Operations. Trim options and accessories distinguish it from the standard SV model.

Externally, the Range Rover SV can be identified by the signature design of the front bumper and five-bar grille. SV badges with ceramic coating are installed on the body. It is also used internally on the “machine” selector, climate control knobs and the Terrain Response system switch. According to the British, the ceramics give an "elegant feeling of coolness" when touched. The material is molded under high pressure and then baked at 1500 degrees Celsius.

Also inside is used natural wood veneer. The center console can be decorated with a single panel of wenge wood or “mosaic”, which is laid by hand (the size of the smallest elements is only 6 by 8 mm).

The armchairs are trimmed with semi-aniline leather, that is, natural, covered with a thin layer of pigments that do not hide the pores and pattern on the surface. There is also an option for animal rights activists: to ensure that no cow is harmed during the release of the Range Rover SV, you can choose Ultrafabrics polyurethane material. It has a tactile feel similar to genuine leather, but is 30% lighter and emits 75% less CO2 during production.

For the Range Rover SV, in addition to the standard body colors, there are 14 exclusive ones with a glossy or matte finish. A contrasting roof is available in Narvik Black or Corinthian Bronze. 13 wheel options have been developed specifically for the Range Rover SV. On top is a 23-inch Diamond Turned Dark Gray Gloss forging with a tri-color finish (black, white, bronze).

The luxury SUV can be ordered with a standard or extended wheelbase. Regardless of the equipment, a 4.4-liter petrol V8 from BMW with a capacity of 523 hp will be installed on the car. The start of sales is scheduled for 2022, prices have not yet been announced.

Recall that the fifth generation Range Rover was presented in October. It is built on the "flexible" modular MLA platform, with which the torsional rigidity of the body has increased by 50% relative to its predecessor, and the amount of structural noise has decreased by 24%. The load-bearing structure of the new Range Rover is 80% aluminium. Steel elements are used in the zone of impact energy absorption and noise protection. The engine range includes two petrol units, three diesel units and two plug-in hybrids.
