In September of this year, Land Rover introduced a new generation of its iconic Defender SUV. The car is available in versions 90 and 110, which differ in the number of doors (three and five, respectively), but the Defender will not be limited to this.
At the beginning of the year, there were rumors that the SUV, after the debut, will acquire an older modification of the 130, which will be designed for eight seats. According to the British edition of Autocar, this information is confirmed: the body length of the Defender 130 will be approximately 5100 mm, which is 342 mm more than that of the 110 modification, but the wheelbase parameters will not change, and it will reach 3022 mm.
According to colleagues, specialists from Special Vehicle Operations, who usually work on top-end Range Rover versions, will work on the modification of the 130, which means that the Defender 130 will probably cost about the same as the Mercedes-Bens G63.
The debut of the Defender 130 should take place in the first half of 2020.
But a pickup truck based on Defender, apparently, is not worth the wait.
