Lamborghini has unveiled the SC20 supercar - this is not just another special version of the Aventador, which will be released in a limited edition. Such a car is assembled in a single copy by order of the client, his identity is not disclosed.

The carbon fiber bodywork is designed to be aerodynamically designed to comfortably handle the roadster without a windshield, with only a tiny clear fairing on the front and sides.

The car became the successor of the ideas embodied in the Aventador J and Veneno. And the designers drew inspiration from the open Diablo VT Roadster from the 90s.

The air intakes on the hood are inspired by the racing Huracan GT3 EVO, and the embossed sides of the body are reminiscent of the Essenza SCV12. At the stern there is a huge carbon fiber wing. It is devoid of servos, so it will have to be set manually in one of three possible positions.

Despite the fact that the SC20 is based on the Aventador, all body panels of the new model are unique. Even the lighting equipment is made specifically for this machine.

In terms of technology, there are not so many differences from the “donor”. It uses a branded 6.5-liter V12, the old fashioned way working without a boost. It develops 770 hp. at 8500 rpm and 720 Nm at 6750. Saved 7-speed "robot" and four-wheel drive. The interior also has a lot in common with the Aventador, although there are 3D-printed air vents and handles made of solid aluminum.

“The SC20 is a combination of sophisticated engineering, Italian craftsmanship, sportiness and cutting-edge design. It is also an example of our V12 engine and carbon fiber being used in a radical open-top car that is unmistakably Lamborghini DNA,” said Lamborghini Technical Director Maurizio Reggiani.

The price of the Lamborghini SC20 is not disclosed, and what's the point of it if the roadster can not be bought.
