Lamborghini discontinued the Aventador

Lamborghini

The Italian company Lamborghini S.p.A. discontinued the production of the Aventador model, which had been produced over the past 12 years.

Formally, it was discontinued at the beginning of the year, but the last batch of fifteen cars was irretrievably lost while being transported by the Felicity Ace, which crashed in the Atlantic Ocean while delivering 4,000 cars from Europe to the United States.

The Italians had to briefly resume production of the Aventador in order to compensate the buyers for the loss.

The total circulation of the Lamborghini Aventador was 11,465 cars, which made it the most massive Lamborghini with a 12-cylinder engine in the history of the brand.

The car was offered in two body styles - closed and open top, as well as in a variety of specially modified series.

A successor model to the Aventador will be released next year and will feature a hybrid powertrain.
