Lamborghini continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary with exclusive supercar models. This time the Veneno Roadster was announced.
Note that both base models of Lamborghini - Aventador and Gallardo - have versions with a retractable roof. In this regard, the appearance of a Veneno-based roadster was quite expected.
The technical part of the roadster includes a 6.5-liter V12 engine with a capacity of 750 hp, a 7-speed ISR robotic gearbox with five operating modes, as well as permanent all-wheel drive. Given the absence of a hardtop, the protection of the driver and passenger is provided by a powerful safety arc. Particular attention of engineers was paid to aerodynamics and cooling. An adjustable rear wing can be used to optimize downforce. Special carbon fiber rings around the rims direct airflow to cool the carbon-ceramic brakes. Thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber parts, the weight of the car was reduced to 1490 kg, with 1.99 kg of weight per 1 horsepower.
Such initial data allow the Veneno Roadster to accelerate to a maximum of 355 km / h, and exchange the first “hundred” in 2.9 seconds.
In total, Lamborghini plans to assemble no more than 9 Veneno roadsters over the next year. The exclusivity is emphasized by the Rosso Veneno color specially developed for the model. Each supercar will cost 3.3 million euros.
