For the first time in its history, Lamborghini decided to reuse the name of one of the historical models - the company introduced the revived Countach supercar. Recall that the original Countach was produced in 1974-1990, so far it is the most recognizable model of the brand.
The new Countach will be released in a limited edition of 112 copies, so Lamborghini could not afford to design it from scratch - the car is widely unified with other production models of the brand.
The body frame is taken from the Aventador, but all of the composite exterior panels are completely original, shaping the exterior of the first Countach. Angular shapes, rectangular headlights, wheel arch configuration with a truncated top, and rear design are referred to the legendary ancestor.
The power plant is unified with the Sian FKP37 model, it is a hybrid system that includes a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 petrol with a capacity of 769 hp, a 7-speed robotic gearbox, a 25-kilowatt electric motor and a 48-volt supercapacitor. The total return of the system is 803 hp. The car picks up 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, up to 200 km/h in 8.6. The maximum speed is 355 km/h. The car has a full drive, the layout is mid-engine (i.e. the engine is installed behind the seats within the wheelbase).
The front panel of the cabin and the bucket seats are taken almost unchanged from the Sian SKF37.
The revived Countach in Western markets will be sold at a price of $1 million.
