A curious accident occurred in Austria on Tuesday, October 19: a 31-year-old Lamborghini Huracan driver mixed up the pedals when he tried to park an Italian supercar in a parking lot near Lake Mondsee, causing the car to reverse into the water. This is reported by the local rescue service on Facebook.
The incident happened in the evening around 22:30. A 40-year-old passenger was with the driver at the time of the accident, fortunately, they were able to leave the car before it sank at a depth of 15 meters.
The man driving is said to have sustained injuries and was taken to the Vöcklabruck district hospital.
31 people were involved in the evacuation of the car, including 5 divers.
The local police, not without a dose of sarcasm, stated on Twitter that the driver of the Lamborghini “applied to succeed Daniel Craig as the new James Bond” in this accident, recalling the Lotus Esprit amphibious car from the movie The Spy Who Loved Me.
