Some technical details about the budget Hyundai Verna sedan of the new generation in the specification for the Indian market were freely available. Recall that under the name Verna in India, a model similar to our Solaris is traditionally offered. Thus, we are talking about the next generation of Solaris. Recall that the Korean company distributed the first photos of the upcoming novelty last week.
According to the Indian edition of Autocar, the overall length, width and height of the next Verna / Solaris are 4535, 1765 and 1475 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2670 mm. Relative to the machine of the outgoing sample, all dimensions are noticeably increased: length - by 130 mm, width - by 36 mm, height - by 6 mm. The distance between the axles of the wheels has increased by 70 mm. If the sedan of the current sample has a trunk volume of 480 liters, then in a new generation car it reaches an even more impressive 528 liters.
In India, Verna will be produced in two engine versions - with atmospheric gasoline 1.5 or turbocharged. The power of the standard engine is not specified, but in the turbo version it is 160 hp. Both units are combined by default with a 6-speed manual gearbox, for a surcharge they will offer a CVT (for aspirated) or a preselective “robot” (for turbo).
