Restyled Hyundai Palisade: even more brutality

Hyundai

At the New York International Auto Show that opened today, Hyundai Motor introduced a restyled version of the full-size Palisade crossover. Recall that the Palisade has been produced since 2018, thus, the model was refreshed in the fifth year of its conveyor life.

In the exterior, the crossover has become even more brutal than it has been so far. The design of the front part of the body has been redesigned: the radiator grille is now wider and visually combined with the air intake, the dipped and main beam blocks located in the corners of the bumper are now made angular, the shape of the upper segments of the DRL and direction indicators has become more complicated. The grille is decorated with "chain mail" of chrome-plated segments of variable area. It is important to note that in relation to the old Palisade, only the bumper group and lighting equipment were replaced in front, the stamped steel panels of the hood and fenders remained the same.

Behind - a bumper of a new form and rectangular exhaust system outlets (were trapezoidal).

New design multi-spoke wheels (diameter 20 inches) appeared.

Now about the salon. A four-spoke steering wheel was used (it was three-), the upper part of the front panel became different - the ventilation deflectors are visually combined into a single horizontal line, the position of some buttons was re-arranged. The digital instrument cluster has deeper graphics. The ergonomics of the front seats have been improved, ventilation can be ordered for the rear seat, and heating was offered for the first time for the third row.

The screen size of the media system was increased to 12.3 inches (it was 10.25), the resolution is 720p. USB-C ports and the ability to organize a Wi-Fi Internet access point have appeared. The Palisade comes standard with rear side airbags (previously optional),

The range is complemented by the XRT version, which features styling touches on the outside - matte painted 20-inch wheels and grille, as well as black trunk rails and the presence of a panoramic roof as standard.

The modernization did not affect the technology - depending on the market, the crossover is equipped with a 3.5-liter or 3.8-liter gasoline V6. The first develops 273 hp, the second - 291 hp. Engines are combined with an 8-speed "automatic", front or all-wheel drive. In South Korea and North America, the updated car will go on sale in the summer.
