Hyundai Motor in its native South Korean market on November 14 began accepting orders for the new (seventh) generation Grandeur sedan, factory code GN7. On this occasion, the range of power units and the technical characteristics of the model were made public.

Recall that the new Grander was shown outside and inside in mid-October. In the next incarnation, the sedan received an extravagant exterior, with a shortened rear part, the model tends to be a fastback body type.

The overall length, width and height of the novelty are 5035, 1880 and 1470 mm, respectively, the changes in these indicators relative to its predecessor are +45 mm, +10 mm and -10 mm.

The design of the car is based on the Hyundai N3 platform, which is also used for the Kia K8, produced since 2021. The two cars have the same wheelbase - 2895 mm. The front suspension is made according to the MacPherson scheme, a multi-link design is used at the rear.

The Grandeur GN7 has four engine modifications. The base has an atmospheric gasoline engine with a volume of 2.5 liters and a power of 198 hp. One step higher in the hierarchy - atmospheric 3.5 liters, a return of 300 hp. These engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Standing apart is the option with a dual-fuel version of the 3.5-liter engine - it is capable of consuming both gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas (propane-butane). The gas engine Grandeur is addressed to taxi companies and Korean government agencies, the engine in it is derated to 240 hp.

A parallel hybrid is also offered, including a 1.6-liter turbo engine, an electric motor and a 6-speed automatic transmission, the total system output is 230 hp.

All modifications are front-wheel drive, but all-wheel drive is offered as an option for the 3.5-liter petrol variant.

Prices for the Hyundai Grandeur GN7 in the domestic Korean market are from 37,160,000 won. Hyundai Motor received 109,000 orders for the Grandeur in its first day of acceptance, a new record for the Korean market.
