Hyundai Motor has released the first branded photos of the updated Sonata mid-size sedan. Recall that the Sonata DN8 (eighth generation) has been produced since 2019 - a radical restyling will allow maintaining consumer interest in it for several more years.
Outside, the plumage has been completely replaced - the radiator grille and low / high beam units have moved to the bumper, above them is now a solid horizontal LED daytime running lights. In the rear, the bumper, trunk lid and lights have become different. In general, the styling of the car is now more aggressive and closer to other Hyundai products of the latest wave. In addition to the standard version of the sedan, the N Line version will be offered, which is distinguished by segments in the bumpers painted with matte black paint, a dual exhaust system, and larger-diameter wheels.
Inside, there is a new front panel with clustered displays of the instrument panel and media system screen, the diagonal of both is 12.3 inches.
No technical changes have yet been announced. However, according to unofficial information, a new 2.5-liter Theta III petrol turbo engine will appear in the Sonata range. This unit will be the prerogative of the sports Sonata N, will be combined with automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Regular versions of the model will be offered with front-wheel drive and petrol turbos of 1.5 and 2.0 liters.
