Hyundai Motor has released the first branded images of the next-generation Hyundai Verna budget sedan in specification for the Indian market. Recall that under the name Verna in India, a model similar to our Solaris is traditionally offered. Thus, we are talking about the next generation of Solaris.
Attached to the press release are two photos: on one, the novelty is captured at an angle from the front, on the second - strictly from the side. The proportions of the current generation model are preserved in the sedan, but the exterior is made completely different - more expressive and memorable. The dipped and main beam units are located in the corners of the bumper end-to-end with the radiator grille, above them is a solid horizontal daytime running lights. On the sidewalls, sharp edge-stamping and massive “hips” above the rear arches add dynamism to the image. Behind the triangular windows in the rear fenders, a massive chrome edging appeared. In general, the image echoes other Hyundai of the latest wave - for example, with Elantra or Staria.
The factory code for the new Verna/Solaris is BN7i. In the specification for India and neighboring countries, the promising model will be offered with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol producing 115 hp, the same one used on the current Verna. At the same time, a new 1.5-liter petrol turbo with 140 hp will be offered.
A full-fledged premiere of new items will take place on March 21, that is, exactly one month later.
