Hyundai Motor is preparing to introduce a new compact crossover called the Mufasa. Photos of a promising car in all its glory got into free access - they “leaked” through the database of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. The same source published brief technical characteristics of the car.
Judging by the pictures, Hyundai Mufasa has a five-door universal body with a very impressive exterior, made in the latest iteration of the Korean brand's corporate identity. The frontal composition with vertical block headlights and an X-shaped radiator grill draws attention. The taillights can be described in terms of configuration as a horizontally elongated letter O. The tension and dynamism are given to the sidewalls of the body by sharp edge-stamping.
The overall length, width and height of the Hyundai Mufasa are 4475 1850 and 1665 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 2680 mm. For comparison, the modern Hyundai Tucson in the global specification is 155 and 15 mm larger in length and width, and the distance between the wheel axles is 75 mm larger. At the same time, the height is the same 1665 mm.
Production and sales of Mufasa will first be established in China - there it will be presented with a 2.0-liter gasoline "aspirated" Hyundai G4NJ with a capacity of 161 hp.
The public premiere of the car will take place in the spring of 2023.
