Genesis, the luxury brand of Hyundai Motor, has unveiled a new development - the X Speedium Coupe Concept. The concept car was created specifically for the New York International Auto Show, which opened its doors today.
The X Speedium Coupe Concept was designed to develop the theme of the promising Genesis coupe. Recall the previous works of this format - Genesis Concept X 2021 and Genesis Essentia 2018.
The X Speedium Coupe Concept, created by the brand's chief stylist Luc Donkerwolke, is "a free design experiment based on the 2021 Genesis X Concept," the press release notes.
In profile view, it is noticeable that the nose of the X Speedium Coupe 2022 and the Genesis Concept X 2021 are almost the same, but the rest of the body of the new car is completely original, with a sloping roof a la fastback.
About the name of the concept car: The word Speedium refers to a racing track in the South Korean city of Inje.
According to Donkerwolke, the concept car contains styling solutions for future Genesis mass-produced electric vehicles.
Nothing is said about the technical side of the concept car - it is only noted that it is equipped with a purely electric power plant. Most likely, this is not a full-fledged car, but a slow-moving layout.
