The new electric SUV GMC Hummer was supposed to appear on May 20, but the coronavirus mixed all the cards. As a result, now the launch of the project has been moved to autumn, and the PR department continues to catch up with interest. A new video has been published in which you can see the silhouette of the car.
So far, General Motors has revealed the profile of two variants of the Hummer: a pickup truck and an SUV. Both have proportions familiar from their predecessors. Separate frames of the video show the process of creating a design layout, from which you can also learn new information about the exterior of the electric novelty.
The manufacturer repeated the previously announced characteristics. For example, from 0 to 96 km/h (60 mph), the car will be able to accelerate in just three seconds. Earlier, the American company said that the electric transmission will develop 1014 hp. and 15,574 Nm.
For GMC Hummer will offer several batteries with a capacity of 50 to 200 kWh. They will operate at 800V and support 350kW fast charging.
The presentation of the Hummer pickup truck is scheduled for the fall of 2020, and the start of production is scheduled for the fall of 2021. For the platform SUV, even approximate dates have not yet been announced. The release will be established at the Hamtramck plant in Detroit.
