The Chinese concern DongFeng Motor has announced an extremely unusual car - the Mengshi / Warrior military all-terrain vehicle converted to electric traction. Recall that in the version with a turbodiesel, this car is an illegal copy of the famous Humvee / Hummer H1 from AM General.
According to CarNewsChina, the M18 will be equipped with electric motors with a total output of 800 kW (1,070 hp) and a 140 kWh lithium-ion traction battery. The power reserve of the car on a single charge will reach 500 km, while it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds! The equipment will also have a level 2.5 autopilot system according to the SAE classification.
The promising model will be made in the form factor of a six-seater SUV with a length of 5200 mm, its curb weight will be 3100 kg.
The Chinese claim that the DongFeng M18 will be the only competitor to the new Hummer EV from General Motors. The brainchild of DongFeng is planned to be offered at a price of $90,000.
