Former Mazda Partner in China Launches Hyundai Santa Fe Style Crossover

Haima

Many Chinese companies have already moved away fr om blind imitation of famous brands. Many, but not Haima. She announced the start of sales of the new Haima S8 crossover, in the form of which the fourth generation Hyundai Santa Fe is easily recognizable.

To the credit of the designers of Haima, it is worth recognizing that they did not lim it themselves to just copying the forms of the South Korean model. In particular, at the rear, the design of the S8 clearly echoes fresh Peugeot crossovers, and the design of the rear roof pillar evokes associations with some Japanese cars.

You can continue the game of association when studying interior photos: everyone can easily name at least a couple of brands that use similar design solutions. But, of course, all coincidences are coincidental.

Haima S8 is based on the new HMGA (Haima Global Architecture) platform with rear multi-link suspension. With a body length of 4565 mm, the wheelbase is 2700 mm.

Under the hood of the new Haima crossover is a 1.6-liter turbo four with 194 hp. This motor works with an "automatic" at six speeds. Drive — only the front.

Dealers of the brand started accepting orders for the novelty on July 8. Prices start at 79,900 yuan. The top version costs 125,900 yuan.
