Geely

The Chinese automotive concern Geely acquired the design and engineering center founded by the now defunct Saab company in the Swedish city of Trollhättan.

The center, covering an area of 15,000 m², is a complex of administrative and production buildings, laboratories, fuel storage facilities, etc. For Saab Automobile, the center served for the design of power plants, at Geely it will be assigned the role of the design office of the Polestar division, specializing in the production of status electric vehicles.

Polestar's next big sedan is the Polestar 5, which is expected to rival the Porsche Taycan, one of the fastest and most technologically advanced electric vehicles on the market.
