Citroen Oli is an electric car weighing 1000 kg, with a new emblem of the brand

The first vehicle to feature the new Citroen badge was the Oli concept car, a purely electric subcompact pickup truck with a whimsical design.

The car has a windshield tilt angle of 90 degrees, this is done to minimize the rays entering the cabin and reduce the power consumption of the air conditioner. It is clarified that the installation of glass in this way made it possible to reduce the electricity consumption of the air conditioner by 17%, that is, the solution carved out additional energy for the power plant and, as a result, increased the range of the electric vehicle on a single charge.

At Oli, Citroen engineers deliberately took the path of simplifying the design. So, one seat here consists of only eight elements instead of 37 in the traditional seats of serial crossovers. The backs are made of mesh - they are printed on a 3D printer. The front panel of the cabin consists of 34 parts instead of 75 for average production cars.

The doors are lighter by 7 kg compared to production cars of the same size. How? Of these, in principle, speakers and electrical wires have been removed. The developers of the concept car believe that if the Oli user wants to listen to music in the cabin, he should use a smartphone and an external bluetooth speaker.

The hood, roof and cargo area panels are molded from a composite material that includes fiberglass and recycled corrugated board.

With a heavy traction battery, Citroen Oli weighs only 1000 kg, while the car is capable of driving up to 400 km on a single charge. The capacity of the battery pack is 40 kWh. Top speed is limited at 110 km/h.

Citroen Oli is a purely experimental car, perhaps some of the solutions worked out in it will be embodied in serial production.
