The Chinese Chery Automobile showed the serial version of the compact purely electric crossover iCar 03, it will be offered in China in the autumn.
iCar 03 is a five-door five-seat car. Its overall dimensions are 4371 mm long, 1909 mm wide and 1709 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2700 mm.
The exterior of the iCar 03 plays up the image of a classic SUV with horizontal roof and hood surfaces, a high seating position, short overhangs, and a protective body kit along the bottom of the body. With proportions, sidewall profiles and hidden roof pillars, the new Chery resembles the latest generation of British Land Rover Defender.
The interior is digitally minimalist, secondary functions are controlled through the touch screen of the media complex or by voice commands. Physical keys are practically absent.
The manufacturer has not yet disclosed the technical characteristics of the electric crossover, but, according to preliminary data, the iCar 03 will be endowed with the dynamic characteristics of a Chery crossover with a 2.5-liter turbocharged internal combustion engine.
