Presented on the evening of July 22, the conceptual Cadillac Celestiq is the harbinger of a promising executive electric car in the range of the American brand. The production version of the car will be shown at the end of 2022.
The squat body of the concept car has five doors and features classic proportions with a cabin shifted back and a long nose.
In the interior, the main highlight is a 55-inch digital screen that stretches across the entire width of the front panel, which combines the instrument panel and media complex. It is continued by small displays in the corners of the front doors.
The cabin has a four-seat layout - passengers are assigned individual seats of increased comfort. Each of the rear riders is provided with separate screens of the media system and another common one (in the center).
The roof of the Cadillac is panoramic, glass, divided into four sections, their transparency can be adjusted to your taste.
The electric car is equipped with an Ultra Cruise autopilot.
On the technical side of the machine - silence. Alleged only that it is built on a modular platform GM Ultium.
The design inspiration for the Cadillac Celestiq was inspired by the 1930s Cadillac V16 family and the 1957 Eldorado Brougham hard top.
The Celestiq will be produced in small batches at the GM Global Technical Center in Detroit. More than 100 parts for this machine are going to be made using 3D printing, including load-bearing and cosmetic parts, elements made of composites and metal.
