Cadillac has released an updated version of the 2016 ELR hybrid coupe. The car received a number of technical improvements.
Firstly, the capacity of lithium-ion batteries has been increased from the previous 16.5 to 17.1 kilowatt-hours - the electric range is now 63 km instead of the previous 60 km. It takes about five hours to charge the batteries from a 240-volt outlet. At the same time, the total range of the car was reduced from 547 to 530 km.
Externally, the car differs from the previous version with a new design of the radiator grille and a modified Cadillac logo.
The return of the hybrid power plant has increased by a quarter and now this figure is 233 hp. power and 506 Nm of thrust. To "hundreds" ELR accelerates in 6.4 seconds (1.6 seconds faster than its predecessor). The top speed of the basic version is 170 km/h, and with the sport package it is 209 km/h.
This package also includes 20-inch wheels with sports summer tires, four-piston Brembo brakes with 13.6-inch discs at the front and 12.4-inch at the rear, as well as a sports steering wheel, retuned active dampers and power steering. In addition, the package makes the springs and silent blocks of the car stiffer.
Inside the car, two displays appeared (on the center console and instrument panel), as well as a new seat cover, microfiber ceiling, glove box and electric cup holder.
