And in 2023, the Chinese epic Cadillac CT6 was continued - the American manufacturer introduced the second generation of the model, it is designed specifically for Chinese consumers and will never be offered in the USA.
The new Cadillac CT6 is based on an improved, according to the manufacturer, but old chassis. The car is equipped with an unimpressive power plant - a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 233 hp. and a 10-speed automatic transmission. This fully meets the specifics of the demand for the Cadillac CT6 in China, the ability to draw "donuts" on the pavement is not needed for corporate cars, and the financial directors, on the contrary, will approve of the efficiency in operation. The appearance of the new sedan in general terms reproduces the design concept of the Cadillac Escala, shown at the Concours d'Elegance in 2016. The car is equipped with the largest 33-inch multimedia screen in the auto industry, as on the Cadillac Escalade SUV, advanced Super Cruise control and progressive suspension with Magnetic Ride Control, and red leather and ash trim for the interior.
The Cadillac CT6 will be produced near Shanghai at the SAIC-GM joint venture plant.
