Cadillac has shown the first images of the new large Elmiraj coupe, which is still being announced as a concept car.
The car, indeed, turned out to be large: length - 5207 mm, width - 1930 mm, height - 1397 mm. Although conceptual in appearance, it shows the characteristic features of the new Cadillac models, including some angularity of forms, a large grille, vertical LED headlights and taillights. Addition to the exterior are 22-inch wheels. But the corporate logo, devoid of wreaths framing it in a circle, looks unusual.
The designers say they were inspired by the 1967 Cadillac Eldorado. Returns to tradition and the power unit - a 4.5-liter V8 with twin turbocharging, developing about 500 hp. power and 678 Nm of torque. The drive is on the rear wheels.
The four-seater saloon with a 2+2 seating formula and a high tunnel in the middle is richly trimmed with expensive leathers and woods. For the convenience of landing, electric drives work backwards: first they push the front seats, and then push the rear seats towards the riders. Not without a coupe interior and manufacturability. For example, a 10-inch touchscreen display with navigation and multimedia functions can be pulled out of the front panel.
