Produced since 2018, the full-size crossover BMW X7 has undergone a comprehensive modernization.
Exterior. The design of the front part of the body has seriously changed - the headlights are now dual: the sections of the low and high beams are separated horizontally fr om the daytime running lights, dimensions and direction indicators. In other words, the front lighting technology has become two-tiered in accordance with fashion. The shape of the front bumper became more complicated, and other vertical slats (black and chrome) were used in the radiator grille. It is important to note that the hood and front fender panels remain the same. The stern has been refreshed with new voluminous taillight glass.
Salon. Inside, the main innovation is a curved screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 14.9-inch media complex are combined under the whole glass. Media runs on the upgraded operating system BMW OS 8.0 with an improved interface and enhanced functionality. For second-row passengers, a USB port appeared, giving out recharging power up to 45 watts (enough for a laptop). The layout of the cabin is only three-row, for seven or six seats.
Technics. The X7 range still includes three modifications - xDrive40i, xDrive40d and M60i xDrive. The standard version with a 3.0-liter gasoline in-line 6-cylinder engine has been upgraded: power is now 380 hp. (+47 hp), torque - 540 Nm (+90 Nm). The xDrive40d and M60i xDrive modifications have the same engines: the first is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbodiesel with a return of 340 hp. and 700 Nm, the second - a 4.4-liter V8 with 530 hp. and 750 Nm. It is specified that all motors are now combined with a 48-volt starter-generator, which can add 12 hp for a short time during acceleration. and 200 Nm.
All engines are aggregated with an 8-speed "automatic" and all-wheel drive.
Of the dimensions relative to the pre-styling model, the length and height have changed: the first parameter of the updated X7 is 5162 mm (+11 mm), the second is 1819 (+14 mm).
For the updated X7, you can order the illumination of the grille, speed lim it assistants and reversing. The last of the functions allows you to fully entrust the automation of reversing from streets up to 200 meters long. With restyling for the BMW X7, you can order rims with a diagonal of up to 23 inches, before the maximum size was 21 inches.
