Audi showed a prototype of a stylish electric sport wagon

Audi

Remember the 2021 Audi A6 Sportback E-Tron Concept electric liftback concept? In the development of the theme of last year's show car, Audi showed the Audi A6 Avant E-Tron Concept - this is the same car, only in a sports wagon body modification.

To the middle pillar of the body, minus small details, the station wagon repeats the liftback, but the rear is completely original. In the name of the rapidity of the profile, the rear pillars are made with a large slope. An aluminum decorative panel looks interesting, which starts at the base of the A-pillar and passes through the roof into a spoiler. In the traditional place of the radiator grille, there is a panel imitating it, behind which the sensors and radars of the autopilot system are hidden. Functional air intakes are located at the corners of the bumper, they are used only when necessary, while the rest of the time they are covered with aerodynamic dampers.

The headlights have a fun feature - they can be used to project video games from the media system onto the wall. This will entertain passengers during long stops.

External dimensions Avant E-Tron: length - 4.96 m, width - 1.96 m, height - 1.44 m. Drag coefficient - 0.24. This is a record figure for passenger-and-freight vehicles, although it is worse than last year's liftback (0.22).

As in the case of the liftback, the Avant E-Tron Concept is based on the PPE modular platform, designed for pure electric premium cars and, in principle, does not involve the use of internal combustion engines. The machine is equipped with two electric motors (one per axle), total power - 350 kW (469 hp), torque - 800 Nm. The battery capacity is not disclosed, according to unofficial information - 100 kWh. It accepts a charge from a station with a power of up to 270 kW.

The wagon's interior is not revealed.

An important detail. Both last year's concept car and the current one are prototypes of Audi's future all-electric business class, which will enter the market in 2024 and will gradually replace the traditional internal combustion engine A6.
